Dec 10,  · Daevid Allen is an intriguing, eccentric guy and "Dreamin' a Dream" is a look at what humans do to fill their hours, days and years. The potential, the failures, the good and evil, the small simple snapshots and the stepping back to view the bigger picture. The title of this album /5(2).

Electro, acoustic solo album. Wonderfully recorded at Kramer's New York Studio (tracks 7, 8 and 10) and in deepest mid Wales, it's at times it's reminiscient his earlier albums 'Now Is the Happiest Time of Your Life' and 'Good Morning'. This is especially true with tracks like 'Sittin' in a Teashop' and the gorgeous 'Garden Song' which remains firmly in his live solo sets to this day.

Acoustic companion compilation to Dreamin' a Dream.. The songs on this CD all come from the period and are a collection of the best of the acoustic songs of that period and as daevid himself says "Rewoven to soothe and enliven the weary brow". The album is designed as a companion to the 'Dreamin' a Dream' CD and has been re-mastered for this release. daevid and Gilli have also.

Allen left Gong in April and went on to record three more solo albums, Good Morning (), Now Is the Happiest Time of Your Life () and N'existe pas! (). During these years, he lived in a hippie collective in Deià and contributed to the production of The Book of Am, an album by the band Can am des puig, loaning them a four-track TEAC reel-to-reel tape recorder.
